Lily’s Betta Rescue was created with one simple belief: every betta deserves a safe, healthy, and loving home.
Bettas are often treated like decorations or disposable pets, but they are living animals with individual personalities, needs, and quirks. Our goal is to give bettas in need the care they deserve and carefully place them with adopters who are prepared to provide a proper home.
Every betta available through Lily’s Betta Rescue is treated as an individual. When a betta becomes available for adoption, we share information about that fish so potential adopters can get to know them before applying.
Why We Require an Adoption Application
Our bettas are not sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Anyone interested in adopting must complete an application so we can learn about the aquarium and home they plan to provide. We review each application with the welfare of the betta in mind.
You do not need to be an aquarium expert to apply. New betta keepers are welcome. What matters most is a willingness to learn and provide appropriate care.
Our Promise
At Lily’s Betta Rescue, we are committed to putting the health and safety of our fish ahead of making a sale.
That means we may:
- Ask questions before approving an adoption.
- Delay shipping when weather or carrier conditions could put a betta at risk.
- Decline an adoption when we believe a home is not appropriate for a particular fish.
- Provide care information to help adopters give their bettas the best possible life.
Our goal is for every adoption to end with a betta in a safe, permanent, loving home.
